God's own country
Kerala has an irresistable charm, one that haunts me and pulls me back ever so often. This is where I was rewarded with life as I gulped in my first breath of fresh air. From the little village where lies my maternal family's ancestral home, the mind wanders across lush fields, gushing rivers, steep hills and sandy beaches. Be it a clackety bus ride through the zigzagging routes across the beautiful hills to granny's place, a long trek across infinite rice fields bringing back to memory long forgotten songs or revisiting mom's old haunts in the city she grew up in, they beckon me all.
