Thirty days in September...
Its been a month now since I got to this side of the world . Autumn is here and so are the rains. High up in my little apartment, overlooking the Hudson, I see the black clouds rolling in, grumbling hard and threatening the world down below with that occasional bolt of lightning. And finally they let go...and it pours... until peace reigns. Then they move on and let the sun out to brighten up the scenario. A scene not uncommon for someone from one of the rainiest regions of the world, but remains as exciting always.
Though September was to be the "settling in" month, the vagabond in me was yearning to explore. And so I did, from the glitz of Broadway one day , to stumbling upon a breathtaking sunset another, along the Liberty state park.
A third day saw me on a tour of an enchanting little village situated right in the heart of one of the busiest cities in the world. Yup, thats where they make a lot of 'em movies and sitcoms. The next time I watch "Friends", I'll surely be ogling over the "chic" apartment worth a quarter of a million dollars atelast AND which was apparently rented out for just 79$/ month. How did they do that? Ask the grandmom ;) if she still exists.
Well...and so it goes on. Hope to go on that long drive across the countryside soon to watch those leaves turn red from green, then orange, then brown, then dry up and fall as the dreary long winter takes over.
